These are the four off-campus trips for this class. The El Camino Trailways executive coach picks us up by the guard gate
(bathroom on board) and leaves PROMPTLY at 9:20 am, whether we have everyone on the bus or not. Our schedule is too tight to allow for a late start, and my cell phone coverage is spotty on campus, so don’t be late.
JANUARY 5, 2012. Pickup at 9:20 am at St. Mary’s guard shack for a Llama-trekking expedition in Redwood Regional Park. Wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers. Pickup at 12:15 pm for return to St. Mary’s by 1 pm.
JANUARY 12, 2012. Pickup at St. Mary’s guard shack at 9:20 am. Arrive at 10:30 at Sonoma Visitors Bureau (453 1st st. east ) for welcome talk and press packets then walk to the Sonoma Mission for a 10:45 tour. At 11:45, we’ll get a walking tour of other historic properties on the square with local author Karen Misuraca and historian/St. Mary’s alum Nancy Simpson. At 12:15 we’ll have lunch and at 1 pm we’ll take a tour of Cline Cellars (the site of the original Sonoma Mission) http://www.clinecellars.com/. Return to St. Mary’s by 3 pm.
JANUARY 19, 2012. Pickup at St. Mary’s guard shack at 9:20 am. Drive to Ride The Ducks – San Francisco Duck Tours 2766 Taylor Street (corner of Jefferson & Taylor) at Fisherman’s Wharf .ph. 415-922-2425. Pickup at Duck Tours at 12:15 pm to return to St. Marys by 1 pm.
JANUARY 26, 2012. Pickup at 9:20 am at St. Mary’s guard shack. Drive to Half Moon Bay for a walking tour and lunch at Cameron’s Pub in this charming coastal town. Includes tidepooling at famed Fitzgerald Marine Sanctuary. Pickup at 1:30 pm for return to St. Mary’s by 3 pm.
